της Γαλλίας, ο Βασίλης Ιακωβίδης (γενν.Πάφος, 1976), αποδεικνύει έμπρακτα
τις εκφραστικές του δυνατότητες στα πλαίσια του FlevaRes Project.
Δημιουργεί, πειραματίζεται και μοιράζεται μαζί μας καλλιτεχνικές επινοήσεις
που ευδοκιμούν στο χώρο ως «οντότητες ανεξάρτητες και ταυτόχρονα
αλληλοεξαρτώμενες», με μια «διάθεση για παιγνίδι μεταξύ κενού-γεμάτου,
φωτός-σκιάς».

‘Void- Full’
Art Installation Exhibition
Having studied Interior Design in Thessaloniki and Art-Design at the the
École des Beaux Arts in Saint Etienne in France, Vasilis Iakovidis
(b.Pafos, 1976) reveals his large spectrum of expressivity in the framework
of the FlevaRes Project. He creates, experiments and shares with us his
artistic inventions, which grow in space as “entities which are independent
and at the same time, dependent on each other”, where “a playful mood
between the void – full and the light-shadow relations” is created.

Δήμος Γεροσκήπου και το Κοινοτικό Συμβούλιο Κουκλιών, πραγματοποιούν για έκτη συνεχή χρονιά, την εκδήλωση ”Εις Αφροδίτην”, η οποία θα πραγματοποιηθεί στις 17 Ιουνίου στο Ιερό της Αφροδίτης στην Παλαίπαφο (Κούκλια).
Στη φετινή διοργάνωση, που φέρει τον τίτλο “Το Ερωτικό Τραγούδι την Ελλήνων”, σπουδαίοι καλλιτέχνες και συγκροτήματα, μέσα από τη μουσική και το τραγούδι, θα ταξιδέψουν το κοινό στον μαγικό κόσμο του σύγχρονου ελληνικού ερωτικού λόγου. Μέσα από τα τραγούδια που θα ερμηνεύσει ο Γιώργος Νταλάρας, συνοδευόμενος από την παγκοσμίου φήμης Ορχήστρα Παραδοσιακών Οργάνων Ρωσίας Ossipov και ένα εκλεκτό επιτελείο Ελλήνων μουσικών, θα αναδειχθεί ο τρόπος με τον οποίο η ελληνική ποίηση και μουσική ύμνησε τον Έρωτα, αρχίζοντας από την αρχαιότητα, περνώντας στις ρίζες του παραδοσιακού τραγουδιού, διασχίζοντας την εποχή του Μεσοπολέμου και της δεκαετίας του ’50 και καταλήγοντας στο ρεμπέτικο, το λαϊκό και το σύγχρονο έντεχνο ερωτικό τραγούδι. The inn sits in a very quiet and peaceful setting in the Dharizos valley, north of the small village of Nikoklia, close to Paphos Airport.
We have stayed here now for 4 spring holidays and each time seen a great selection of birds and other wildlife around the hotel.
The area around the inn (Cyprus inn) is well vegetated, and the inn has its own garden too. This has attracted collared flycatcher, great reed warbler, icterine warbler, ortolan and Cretzchmar’s buntings, hawfinch, redstart, wryneck, hoopoe, as well as common warblers. Depending on migration conditions, half an hour sitting on your room balcony can be very rewarding. For example, we’ve seen Eleonora’s falcon, alpine swifts, red-rumped swallows, bee-eaters, and various waders this way. You can hear stone-curlews calling from the river bed day and night, and black francolins call from the fields next to the inn. There are resident scops owls, and barn owl and little owl can be heard most evenings. We’ve also once heard long-eared owl. In the valley below, we’ve seen Orphean warbler, Cyprus pied wheatear and Cyprus warbler. Read more
Every November at Vasilias Nikoklis Inn we collect our own olives and produce our very own olive oil which we use in cooking and salads!
